Managing Stress | Self Improvement | Part 1 – Step 6 — Develop Positive Thinking
This is the step which may require most practice and hard work because it requires changing your attitude and your way of thinking and how you see the world. There are people who think world is beautiful and you should enjoy it and there are people who think everything around them negative way. Believe me ones you expose to power of positive thinking you will find new creativity, innovation and ideas for your betterment.
I read somewhere that when one person said this can be done and other person said this can’t, so both are right because when you give statement you draw one invisible boundary around you and fix yourself in it. When you think this cant be done then you close doors to new ideas and innovations. You just decided that this cant be done. But when you decide it can be done then you are become open to new ideas and you may find the ways to do it.
Give yourself thought that if people invented things were prone to negative thinking then was it possible for them to invent new things. Is it possible to fly? Is it possible to have a car? Behind every new invention there is a work of one positive thought.
What two people one with negative attitude and other one is positive attitude may think in same critical situation. Mr. N with negative attitude will think it is not possible just impossible. Mr. P with positive attitude will think it looks tough but there may be some way to do it and I have to find out. So Mr. N will stop the efforts to do it and Mr. P will explore new ideas one by one and at last do it.
Positive thinking will give you power you never imagine of. One you start thinking positive ways one by one new ideas and new thinking patterns generates which make you result oriented. You would not west your time by thinking it can be done or not but you would think only one way that it can be done but I have to find out how? So instead of renting and raving about situations and people around you, you would more concentrate on your work and result.
