So it is not easy for depressed person to change thoughts and do something even if he want to do so because when person depressed , they don’t feel to like exercise or walking or control diet or do something which may help him in depression. Even sometimes depressed person doesn’t take bath for several days even though they know that after taking bath they feel better. So what is solution? Solution lies in make small plans for managing stress, instead of big ones and tries to enjoy it.

For example, your physiologist advises you to wake up early and do some exercise which may help you to relieve depression. You know this is good idea and want to exercise every morning but every morning you didn’t able to come out of bad before 11 AM, you feel depressed every morning and don’t feel like to have exercise so you skip it permanently but here is solution, don’t make plan about rigorous exercises instead every morning after waking up (whatever time it may be) just do small exercises like small walk, small movement of hands and legs for 5 minutes, meditation for five minutes and try to enjoy it. Do it every day without fail.

If you don’t feel to mix socially in big functions or parties then try to mix with small groups of people for 10 minutes or 15 minutes everyday and enjoy it. Have a chat with close friend or relative every day for 10 to 15 minutes and you feel relieved. If you don’t have appetite to have a lunch then take small ones 2 or 3 times instead of skip it completely.

Go to movie ones in a while and have a walk in garden at week-ends. What about long driving to countryside ones in a week? Believe me these things will boost your morel and help you to come out of depression. When you start to enjoy 10 minutes exercise daily, automatically you would increase it to 20 minutes in next one or two weeks. Ones you start to enjoy to mix with small group of people, you would not hesitate to mix in big functions and enjoy it. So for managing depression if you fail to take large steps, you should start with small steps and you would feel difference in sometimes.
