But it is not clear and established fact that stressful events cause depression sometimes even high stress events like death of spouse or bankruptcy not expose person to depression and other way around even there is no stressful event but person feels depression

Sometimes one stressful event leads someone to depression and same event didn’t affect the other person. Some studies indicate that person with clinical depressions history or history in family have more chance to expose to depression in stressful event then other way around

For those who already suffers from chronic depression have more chance to expose to stress in stressful event  and then develop more severe depression which lead to more stress

He or she come to feel helpless in even minor stress. They just develop negative feelings that they have no control on there life or event surrounding it. They even develop inferiority complex in there lives and have very low self esteem for themselves.
