Type of Stress: Acute Stress
Type of Stress can also be defined as an acute stress or chronic stress (Long Term).Acute stress is the reaction to an immediate threat, commonly known as the fight or flight response. The threat can be any situation that is experienced, even subconsciously or falsely, real or imaginary as a danger.

The person experienced, witnessed, or was confronted with an event or events that involved actual or threatened death or serious injury, or a threat to the physical integrity of self or others. The person's response involved intense fear, helplessness, or horror. Common acute stressors include but not limited to following:
- Immediate noise (which can trigger a stress response even during sleep)
- Some people feel acute stress in excessive crowding or in rush.
- Some people feel acute stress in Isolation
- Some people feel acute stress during hunger
- Immediate danger it can be real or only product of mind may produce acute stress
- Infection
- High technology effects like playing video games, frequently ringing mobile phones, high noise
- Imagining a threat or remembering a dangerous event
- Death or serious injury, sexual abuse, child abuse
Generally speaking in most events of acute stress, ones threat passed, the reaction becomes deactivated and level of stress hormones return to normal. This condition is called the relaxation reactions. The disturbance lasts for a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 4 weeks but in some cases threat has Passed but stress will remain. It can be happen in case of child abuse, some social adverse conditions, sexual abuse, death of loved one, betrayal from loved one and it convert in chronic stress…..
